  • Admission Process for International students is different from Indian Admission Process.

  • All queries should be sent to international.admissions@tiss.ac.in

  • International students have to apply using the provided Online application link and submit all the specified documents to complete the application process.

  • The submitted Application Forms should be complete in all respects including the payment of fees. Incomplete forms will not be considered for short-listing.

  • In case you do not have all the relevant documents before the deadline, kindly inform the Office for International Affairs in advance to get the necessary approval for late submission (Permission will be only granted based on genuine reasons).

  • Admission process of International students is managed by the Office for International Affairs and hence all the queries or doubts should be addressed to the OIA Admission Team.

  • Kindly note, applications are accepted only through one channel and one cannot apply through both Indian and International channel.

  • Mere application doesn't ensure admission to any programme. Applicants need to ensure that they have read the course related information carefully before applying.

  • Only students who fulfill all the specified requirements (Academic) will be considered for the next processes.

  • The online interview for all the Short-listed Candidates will be conducted in April / May.

 Programme specific FAQs:- International Dual Degree Programme

1.      Job Prospects

The International Dual Degree course from TISS and partner university opens diverse career opportunities in the development sector, both in India and internationally. Graduates are well-equipped to work with international organizations, UN agencies, NGOs, CSR wings of corporates, and government departments.

2.      Scholarships

The top 10 meritorious students enrolled in the Dual Master’s Degree Programme in International Development Practice will receive a scholarship of 5000 Australian Dollars during their second year at Monash University.
Similarly, the top 10 meritorious students in the Dual Master’s Degree Programme in M.A. in Social Entrepreneurship and International Business (TISS Mumbai) and M.Sc. in International Business (Queen Mary University of London, UK) will be awarded a scholarship of 5000 Pounds in their second year at Queen Mary University of London.

3.      Placement opportunities

We do not offer direct placements, but the Office for International Affairs (OIA) will provide all necessary support for placement assistance.

4.      Career Prospects

You will be guided by world class, industry leading teaching faculty. There will be experts from academia and industry conducting sessions for you.

You will also gain a lot of practical experience through field work/ field projects…..and This experience will give you a competitive advantage in the workforce.

5.      Where are Alumni working?

We have a batch of students who have graduated with the international dual degree and are now working in various sectors. Some of the organisations are Morgan Stanley, the United Nations, Tata Motors, Teach for India etc.

6.      Internships & part time jobs

As part of the TISS-Monash Dual Degree Programme, students will engage in a fieldwork practicum at TISS, followed by an internship at Monash University in the second year.

Students interested in part-time work at Australia or UK are advised to refer to the relevant visa regulations to understand the conditions and limitations related to employment while studying.

7.      Academic Fees (TISS-Monash)

For the 1st year at TISS, the estimated cost (approx.) is rupees 4,30,000 (for Indian citizen students) and rupees 6,00,000 for international students.

For year 2 at Monash University, the estimated cost* (approx.) is A$ 43,400. The living costs during the semesters at Monash University are borne by the student. The monthly cost (approx.) is currently 90,000 rupees (approx. 1500 AUD), including on-campus accommodation.

8.      Eligibility Criteria, Academic Qualification, Programme fee structure, and curriculum plan

The applicant should have a minimum 60% mark/GPA in a 10+2/undergraduate degree programme to be eligible to apply for the respective programme at TISS as an international student.

Proof of English language proficiency is compulsory.

9.      Selection process

As per the International Admission Eligibility criteria, international students must fulfil the essential criteria to apply as an International Student.

As an international student applicant, you are not required to take the CUET-PG examination. However, if shortlisted, you will be required to appear for the Interview,  which is scheduled for June 2025 (exact date to be confirmed).

The test syllabus primarily includes international current affairs, English language proficiency, mathematics, logical reasoning, and subject-specific questions.

 

10. MIDP - The International Development Practice course is designed to address global challenges such as poverty, poor health, fragile governance, inequality, and environmental issues. It equips students with practical skills and analytical tools to build resilience and respond to these challenges at local, national, and international levels.

11. MA in Social Entrepreneurship - This dual degree equips students with a strong foundation in economics, sociology, innovation, and business management. It blends problem-solving and leadership skills with global perspectives.

It emphasizes venture creation and stakeholder engagement, while the second year focuses on international business, helping students understand globalization's opportunities and challenges for modern enterprises.
