Vision Statement

Introduction and Background

The MA Social Work in Rural Development program is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to understand and address the processes of underdevelopment in rural areas. It aligns with the NEP by focusing on interdisciplinary and holistic education, practical learning through fieldwork, and fostering a vibrant civil society.

The program is relevant due to the ongoing challenges in rural development, including poverty, illiteracy, and social discrimination. It addresses these concerns by training students to work effectively with rural communities, governmental, and non-governmental organizations, and by promoting sustainable development practices.

SC/ST GoI-PMS students have to pay the following fee components marked (*) and Caution Deposit Rs. 2,750/-. Remaining fee components to be paid as and when they get their Scholarship amount.
