Description
Summary of the Programme:
The MA in Education and Technology (MAET) programme is anchored by faculty affiliated to the EdTech Research Group within the Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education (CETE), School of Education. The programme is a unique postgraduate programme offered in flexible delivery mode with full-time (one year) and part-time options. Drawing from extensive field action research in the area of education and technology, the programme offers a rich and immersive experience of — research and practice-based knowledge about contemporary issues, teaching and pedagogies, learning design, emerging technologies, product management as well as systemic aspects of adoption, systems thinking and policy in the global and Indian education systems.
The programme is thoughtfully designed and delivered by national and global experts, academicians, researchers, industry leaders, government officials and practitioners engaged in educational technology.
A key feature of the programme is to design and incubate innovative ideas in EdTech as a Capstone Project (of 6 credits). The capstone will be located in a field site — academia, school, industry — with a field and academic mentor to support the rigorous process and practical capabilities and knowledge in EdTech research and design. The students will get numerous opportunities to interact with leading researchers, practitioners and industry experts through EdTech Talk seminar series, internships in research projects and field visits.
